It's a busy time for albums this #NewMusicFriday in the run-up to Christmas.
Coldplay released their eighth studio album Everyday Life, a double album featuring their 24th UK Top 40 single Orphans. All seven of Coldplay's studio albums have reached the Official Albums Chart top spot.
Someone close to a 100% track record on the Official Albums Chart is Robbie Williams. All but one of his solo studio albums (and all but one of the Take That albums he was on) have hit Number 1, and he releases his first Christmas album The Christmas Present, a record that could become his thirteenth Number 1 album. The record features collaborations with Bryan Adams, Jamie Cullum and Rod Stewart.
Speaking of Sir Rod, his new album You’re In My Heart: Rod Stewart with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is a big release this week, as is GRAMMY winner Beck's 14th studio album Hyperspace. Other acts with albums out this week include Andre Rieu, Jason Aldean, Labrinth and Thanks For The Dance, the first posthumous album from Leonard Cohen.
Also be on the lookout the expanded version of Kylie Minogue's Number 1 greatest hits Step Back In Time, and the extended edition of Lewis Capaldi's chart topper Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, 2019's fastest-selling debut album.
On the singles front, Stormzy trails his new album Heavy Is The Head with Own It featuring Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy, plus there are Christmas songs from Little Mix and Mabel who release One I've Been Missing and Loneliest Time Of Year.
